In order to qualify to take part in the Woman Alive! program, you must be:
- a woman
- living on a limited income (see below under "Financial Eligibility")
- a resident of the City of Hamilton
- have written (YWCA location) or verbal (all other program locations)approval of a physician if you have medical/physical concerns which might be made worse by participation in the program (please click on "Registration Process and Forms" in the menu for more information).
Financial Eligibility
The Woman Alive! program is available to women living on a limited income.
- A woman qualifies financially for the program if she:
- receives Ontario Works (OW) benefits
- receives Ontario Disability Support Program(ODSP) benefits
- has no current income
- is otherwise on a limited income
