Teen Tobacco Summit 2008

On Friday October 10th the Hamilton Crew for Action Against Tobacco (HCAAT) will kick off the 8th Teen Tobacco Summit (TTS), and the annual event is going green.  If you’re concerned about the environment or environmental issues then this year’s theme is for you. The focus of TTS VIII will be the impact the Tobacco Industry has on the environment.  We plan to “Reduce the Lies, Reuse the Tactics, and Recycle the Power”!  Join the fight against Big Tobacco.

TTS VIII will be HCAAT’s biggest event of the year, and will have participants attending from all local Teen Tobacco Challenge high school groups.  Speakers will share information with participants on emerging issues in tobacco control, team-building and HCAAT will provide tips on planning and executing a successful Teen Tobacco Challenge event in schools.  Participants will learn how to use this newly acquired knowledge to contribute to the fight against Big Tobacco and build enthusiasm for lasting change.

If you are a high school student, teacher, or volunteer then TTS VIII is for you. Contact your school’s Teen Tobacco Challenge group and ask about TTS VIII so you can begin to have a huge impact on our world starting with your own school environment.
