Take ‘time away’ to think about yourself, your health and physical activity.

This is a very important first step!

Women have multiple roles, both in the family and in the workplace; they have great difficulty finding the time and energy for physical activity. Women’s lives are so busy and complex they cannot ‘just do it’. Women need skills in planning, prioritizing, problem solving, getting support and delegating.  To begin this process, they need to take a break from their responsibilities to plan to be physically active.

Get together with friends to talk about:

  • Your typical day
  • Challenges finding time for yourself
  • Benefits of being more active
  • How you deal with change; previous successes
  • Balancing your needs andyour family's needs
