  • Seek support from your spouse or partner; emphasize the importance of physical activity to your health
  • Tell your spouse and family the many ways they can support you; be specific, for example make dinner on Tuesday nights, make lunches, do the morning routine on Thursdays, empty the dishwasher daily, plan active weekends  
  • Talk about your plan with friends, tell them how they can support you
  • Find a buddy or several buddies, for example, for walking on different evenings
